Jim is the founder of Battery Advancement, an Alberta-based business that sells and researches new batteries. Battery Advancement has identified golf carts as an ideal candidate for lithium battery technology, advising and supplying its customers with Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. Meanwhile, the bulk of their research is related to a unique Lithium chemistry suitable for Alberta winters. Jim has several ongoing projects related to golf carts: a machine-learning driven Tilt Alarm, and a wheel motor based gas-to-electric golf cart conversion kit. He is always looking for partners in what is proving to be quite an adventure. In his spare time, Jim likes to do art, writing, and in general, “likes to make things.”
